painted headboard

the "new"

the "old"

The end of our old headboard came when my boys were wrestling on the bed. They ripped it in half! But that's because I made it out of cardstock-and stuck it to the wall with spray adhesive (after I let it get tacky first). Despite it's humble origins I was in love with it, but I didn't expect it to last too long. Surprisingly it lasted over a year. I have had a hard time figuring out what I wanted for a new headboard. I just don't like that empty space above the bed, you know? I was cleaning off some shelves and came across these four canvases. I think I like the result. I don't know if I'm in love-but I'm in like, and that's better than the cavernous emptiness.

(pardon the pitiful pictures-the colors match a little better than these pictures let on.)
